Myriam Guimond

Biography

Born into a dual Quebecois-Tunisian culture, born in Rimouski, Myriam Guimond is a director, screenwriter, and producer. A graduate of Concordia University's Film Production program and UQAM's Screenwriting program, her early career on film sets was marked by diverse involvement in numerous departments: sound, camera, assistant director, script supervisor, production manager, and more. Her short film Jade & Mattéo (2015), an intimate look at denial in the face of mental illness, garnered attention at several international festivals, including REGARD, Clermont-Ferrand, and the FFEQ (Festival du film étudiant de Québec), where it won the Jury's Choice Award.
