Is WatchNPlay only for movies and TV shows?
No. WatchNPlay also tracks games, anime and manga. It is designed for people whose entertainment backlog includes more than just movies and shows.
Can I use WatchNPlay as a movie tracker?
Yes. You can add movies to your watchlist, mark them as watched, rate them, keep a viewing diary, check external ratings and see where they are available to stream, rent, buy or watch in cinemas depending on your region.
Can I use WatchNPlay as a TV show and episode tracker?
Yes. WatchNPlay lets you track shows episode by episode, follow seasons, mark episodes as watched, rate episodes and see what episode comes next. It also helps you keep track of new seasons and upcoming episode releases.
Can I use WatchNPlay as a game tracker?
Yes. WatchNPlay can be used as a game tracker for your backlog, wishlist, owned games and upcoming releases. You can mark games as planned, current, completed, owned or dropped, and combine your game library with movies, shows, anime and manga.
Can I use WatchNPlay as a game backlog tracker?
Yes. WatchNPlay can track your game backlog, wishlist and owned games. You can mark games as played or owned, follow upcoming releases and get notified about price drops and deals for games you care about.
Can I track anime and manga too?
Yes. WatchNPlay supports anime and manga alongside movies, shows and games. You can track anime episodes and seasons, follow manga by volume or chapter, and keep everything in the same library and calendar.

Yes. WatchNPlay supports manga reading progress by volume and chapter, so you can continue exactly where you stopped reading.
Watchlist, library and diary
What can I add to my WatchNPlay watchlist?
You can add movies, TV shows, games, anime and manga. Depending on the title type, you can track watch status, play status, reading progress, ownership, ratings, release dates and availability.
Can I mark something as watched, played, owned or dropped?
Yes. WatchNPlay supports different states such as planned, current, completed, paused, watched, played, owned and dropped. This makes it useful both as a watchlist and as a personal media library.
Can I create multiple lists?
Yes. You can create custom lists for different purposes, such as movies to watch, games to buy, shows to continue, anime recommendations, family watchlists or personal favorites. The free plan includes up to five custom lists, while Pro unlocks more lists.
Can I keep a diary of what I watched or played?
Yes. WatchNPlay keeps a personal history of what you watched, played or read. You can add dates and ratings, making it useful as a movie diary, viewing diary and gaming log.
Can I rate movies, episodes, games, anime and manga?
Yes. You can add your own score from 0 to 100. For TV shows and anime, you can also rate individual episodes.
Streaming and availability
Does WatchNPlay show where a movie or show is streaming?
Yes. WatchNPlay shows streaming availability by region and helps you find where a movie or show is available to stream, rent or buy. Supported providers can include services such as Netflix, Prime Video, Disney+, Apple TV and others depending on your region.
Does WatchNPlay open titles directly in streaming apps?
Yes. Where available, WatchNPlay provides deep links to streaming services, so you can jump directly from a title page to the provider.
Does WatchNPlay show cinema releases?
Yes. WatchNPlay includes cinema release information and can show what is currently in theaters and what is coming soon, depending on available regional data.
Can WatchNPlay notify me when something becomes available to stream?
Yes. WatchNPlay supports notifications for selected release and availability events, including streaming launches and VOD releases. Some advanced notifications are part of Pro.
Release calendar and reminders
Does WatchNPlay have a release calendar?
Yes. WatchNPlay includes a release calendar for movies, TV episodes, games, and other media. It shows what is coming soon across your watchlist and backlog.
Can I see upcoming game releases and TV episodes in one calendar?
Yes. WatchNPlay combines different release types in one calendar, including cinema releases, streaming debuts, new episodes and game launches.
Can I export my release calendar?
WatchNPlay supports calendar export features, including iCal-style calendar feeds for supported release events. Free users have a limited calendar range, while Pro unlocks a larger calendar view.
What does “binge-ready” mean?
Binge-ready means that enough episodes or a full season are available to watch, so you can start a show without waiting week by week. WatchNPlay can help surface shows that are ready to binge.
Game prices, deals and alerts
Does WatchNPlay track game prices?
Yes. WatchNPlay tracks game prices across supported stores and platforms. It can help you compare current prices, discounts and deal information for games on your wishlist.
Can I set price alerts for games?
Yes. WatchNPlay lets you set price alerts for games, so you can get notified when a game drops in price or reaches your target price. Price alerts are part of Pro.
Can WatchNPlay show all-time-low game prices?
Yes. WatchNPlay can show deal information such as discounts and best-price indicators where price history is available.
Which game stores and platforms does WatchNPlay support?
WatchNPlay is designed to support major PC and console ecosystems, including Steam, PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo eShop and selected PC game stores or deal sources where available.
Does WatchNPlay track free games?
Yes. WatchNPlay can surface free game promotions and free game alerts, for example when selected stores offer time-limited free games.
Does WatchNPlay track Game Pass and PlayStation Plus?
WatchNPlay supports subscription catalog tracking features for gaming services such as Xbox Game Pass and PlayStation Plus where available. Advanced catalog notifications may require Pro.
Ratings and recommendations
Which rating sources does WatchNPlay combine?
WatchNPlay combines external ratings from multiple sources where available. For movies and shows this can include TMDB, IMDb, Metacritic and Rotten Tomatoes. For games this can include sources such as OpenCritic, Metacritic and Steam. You can also add your own personal score.
Why are multi-source ratings useful?
Multi-source ratings help you avoid relying on a single score. WatchNPlay shows different rating perspectives in one place, so you can compare audience ratings, critic scores and your own opinion more easily.
Does WatchNPlay offer personalized recommendations?
Yes. WatchNPlay includes personalized discovery and recommendation features based on your library, ratings, genres, preferences and activity.
Can I discover similar movies, shows or games?
Yes. WatchNPlay includes discovery features such as similar titles, trending content, curated sections, community lists and personalized rows.
Import, sync and backup
Can I import my watchlist from Trakt, Letterboxd, SIMKL or IMDb?
Yes. Importing is free. You can import your watchlist and history from Trakt, Letterboxd, SIMKL, and IMDb via file or CSV/ZIP upload. Only automatic live sync with Trakt and SIMKL is a Pro feature. And your data stays yours: CSV export is always included — no lock-in.
Can I import my Steam library?
Yes. WatchNPlay supports Steam library sync, so you can bring your game library into your media tracker instead of adding every game manually.
Can I export or back up my watchlist?
Yes. WatchNPlay supports CSV export and backup options so you can keep a copy of your library and avoid being locked into one platform.
Social and shared lists
Can I share watchlists with friends or family?
Yes. WatchNPlay supports social and shared-list features, including friends, activity feeds and group watchlists, depending on feature availability and plan.
Can I use WatchNPlay for deciding what to watch together?

Is WatchNPlay available on Android?
Yes. WatchNPlay has an Android app with mobile features such as push notifications and home-screen widgets.
Can I use WatchNPlay in a browser?
Yes. WatchNPlay is also available as a web app, so you can use your media library from a browser as well as on mobile.
Is there an iOS app?
An iOS version is planned. Until then, the web app works fully on iPhone and iPad — same library, same account. On Android, WatchNPlay is available as a native app.
Is WatchNPlay free?
Yes. WatchNPlay has a free plan for core tracking. Pro unlocks higher limits and advanced features, such as more lists, a larger calendar range, advanced statistics, premium notifications, price alerts, and recaps.
Is WatchNPlay ad-free?
Yes. WatchNPlay is designed to be ad-free. The free plan includes core tracking, while Pro unlocks optional premium features.
What does WatchNPlay Pro include?
WatchNPlay Pro unlocks higher limits and advanced features such as more custom lists, larger library limits, full calendar access, game price alerts, premium notifications, advanced statistics, live Trakt/SIMKL sync and personal recaps.
Privacy and account
Do I need an account to use WatchNPlay?
An account is used to sync your watchlist and library across devices. This also helps keep your data available on both the web app and mobile app.
Can I delete my WatchNPlay account?
Yes. WatchNPlay supports account deletion and privacy-related account controls.
Does WatchNPlay stream movies or games inside the app?
No. WatchNPlay is a tracker and discovery app. It does not stream movies, shows or games inside the app. It helps you organize your media, find where titles are available and jump to supported providers where possible.
